Accounts Payable Clerk
The Dearborn store is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Full-cycle accounts payable processing, including billing and maintaining records. Other responsibilities include compiling and reviewing data for quality and accuracy, handling online transactions and system data entry and reporting, assembling data in order to prepare monthly spreadsheets and reports. Qualified candidates must be able to organize and coordinate the department’s work and determine work priorities. Will be required to perform complex and difficult assignments. Also, must be able to reconcile an/or balance financial transactions and accounts, detect errors, and meet and schedule deadlines of the Accounts Payable Department. Must be able to communicate effectively. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, and minimum of three years work-related experience required.
The Dearborn store is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, full-cycle accounts payable processing, rental and lease accounting, and processing dealership title work. Qualified candidates must be able to travel to organize and coordinate the department’s work and determine work priorities in order to meet deadlines. Must be able to travel to off-site appointments. Qualified candidates must possess an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, and minimum of one year work-related experience required. A valid driver’s license with a clean record, drug screen and criminal clearance are also required.
Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Our Dearborn store is currently seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving, shipping and binning parts, and maintaining and tracking cores. Other responsibilities also include reporting shortages and shipping errors, maintaining backorder file and assisting in the identification of freight charges. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, some college level course work preferred, with at least one year of work-related experience, medium-heavy duty truck experience preferred. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers and lift up to 50 lbs. Physical, drug screen and criminal clearances also required.
We are seeking an experienced Controller for the Dearborn store. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: directing and controlling the work of the accounting personnel in summarizing and interpreting financial data for the use of management, creditors, investors and taxing authorities. Also, develops forecasts; measures actual performance against operating plans and standards and prepares budgets. Other duties include, paying off trucks, posting DEFTS and EFT deposits, preparing and filing tax returns and preparing cash flow statement. Qualified candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to travel to other stores. Ability to apply GAAP required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in business, accounting, finance or a related field of study and 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of college education and experience required.
Outside Parts Sales
Tri-County’s Dearborn, Warren and Ypsilanti stores are seeking experienced Outside Parts Salespeople. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: promoting and seeking all parts and service business in the branch’s market area with special emphasis on the after-market segment; counsels with Parts Manager, Vice President and/or Branch Manager regarding the progress of the department’s objectives for the dealership; and keeps current with current parts and service specials. Qualified candidates must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate superior internal and external customer service skills. Also, candidate must be knowledgeable in commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field, preferably with medium/heavy duty trucks. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus. Qualified candidates must possess high school diploma with some college business classes a plus, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and/or equivalent with 3-5 years or more experience in the field or in a related area. Valid driver’s license required, chauffeur’s license or CDL a plus.
We are seeking motivated, skilled, heavy-duty Truck Technicians for Tri-County’s and Idealease’s* Dearborn, Flint (C&S Motors), Jackson, Warren and Ypsilanti locations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing preventative maintenance, running inspections, diagnostic tests and heavy duty repair on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of one to two years of work-related experience. Also, candidate must be a team player and able to work under limited supervision. Valid chauffeur’s license (CDL a plus) with clean driving record, physical/drug screen and criminal clearances also required. Mobile emergency service vehicle experience a plus. Must be able to provide own tools.

New & Used Truck Sales
Tri-County is currently seeking truck sales personnel in all our locations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: closing sales on our lineup and inventory of new and used medium duty and heavy duty trucks; providing sales assistance to all walk-in/call-in customers on assigned floor days; writing sales orders; securing deposits and preparing all necessary paperwork for sold units. Qualified candidates must have at least one year of retail sales experience in the transportation industry. Candidate must demonstrate superior judgment to plan and accomplish sales goals. Excellent communication skills are also required along with a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) and drug screen and criminal record clearances a must.
Parts Counter – Five Positions
Tri-County has each of its five Michigan branch operations (Dearborn, Flint, Jackson, Warren and Ypsilanti), actively looking for an experienced parts counter salesperson. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist/wait on customers and service technicians for parts needs, achieve assigned sales goals, stock shelves, check-in and ship parts to customers, and maintain core control. Also handle incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously, assist in maintaining showroom displays, parts counter area and catalogs, etc. and keep current with new products and promotions. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, some college level course work preferred, with at least two years of work-related experience, medium/heavy duty truck experience preferred. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers. Drug screen and criminal clearances also required.
Tri-County’s Dearborn and Flint branches are both seeking an experienced Porter/Driver. The Porter job in Dearborn is a full-time position while the Flint position is part-time only. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, test driving, delivering, moving and washing/cleaning vehicles and ensuring units are in good working condition. Other responsibilities include performing pre and post trip inspections, fueling and washing trucks and maintaining the shop and parking lot. Qualified candidates must be able to use a calculator, read a map and possess a valid CDL license, minimum class B endorsement with a clean driving record and be able to drive a manual and automatic transmission. Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Physical/drug screen and criminal clearances required.
